Calling another vessel

A normal call should be brief.

Example structure:

Called vessel name.

Called vessel name again if necessary.

"This is [your vessel]."

Once contact is made, agree on and change to an appropriate working channel.

Keep Channel 16 free.

Do not conduct a long conversation on 16.
